 महुआ

इसमे myristic, stearic,palmitic,तत्व पाये जाते हैं।महुआ के फूल शीतल और पौष्टिक होते है, फूलो से पेय प्रदार्थ बनाया जाता है।महुआ बीज का तेल,साबुन,तथा दिया जलाने आदि में उपयोग किया जाता हैं।हैड्रोजिनेशन के बाद यह तेल खाद योग्य बनता है।और महुआ एक विशाल पर्णपाती पेड़ है, पते लंबे एवं मोठे होते है।पत्तियां की शिराएं मोटी होती है।इस पर क्रीम रंग के रसदार फूल जनवरी से अप्रैल माह में गुच्छे में गूदेदार पिले रंग के होते है।एंव इसके फूलो से खुशबू आती है, फल सरस ,हरे रंग का होता हैं।बीज भूरे या कत्थई रंग के चमकीले 2.5से3.5 सेमी लंबे होते हैं।और यह महुआ बस्तर के इलाके में सबसे अधीक पाया जाता है,एव फरवरी-अप्रैल में फूल का संग्रहड़ तथा मई-जून में फल का संग्रहड़ नारंगी भूरे रंग का होते है।महुआ का फेमिली नाम sapotaceae,महुआ,मोदा, मौहा,है,एव इसका उपयोग भाग फूल तथा बीज हैं।
